Restaurant & Kitchen at the Berlin TV Tower

The Sphere Restaurant in the Berlin TV Tower offers a unique experience at 207 meters height: Enjoy regional and international cuisine with a spectacular 360-degree view over Berlin. From Easter 2025, the newly designed “Sphere by Tim Raue” will be a highlight for all gourmets.

Restaurant Sphere at the Berlin TV Tower

The revolving restaurant Sphere in the Berlin TV Tower provides an unparalleled culinary experience at 207 meters above the ground. Located on the third level of the tower, in a specially designed area with a diameter of 29 meters, the restaurant floor, also known as the Telecafé, accommodates up to 200 guests at 40 tables. Here, guests can enjoy both regional and international delicacies while taking in the spectacular panoramic view of the capital.

What makes the Sphere Restaurant special is the continuous rotation of the outer ring of the restaurant floor, which is mounted on 120 rollers and rotates once around its own axis. This innovative design allows guests to experience a continuously changing 360-degree panoramic view of Berlin while dining. Previously, the rotation speed was fixed at one hour, but after renovations in the late 1990s, it can now be adjusted to either half an hour or a full hour, offering more flexibility to guests.

The interior of the restaurant is separated from the stairwell by a colored translucent glass wall designed by artist Richard O. Wilhelm. This wall, adorned with bright spots, stylizes the Milky Way and gives the restaurant a special atmosphere. The entire sphere of the TV Tower, where the restaurant is located, has a usable area of 5000 square meters and is highlighted by bronze-colored window bands on the two visitor levels.

Guests of the revolving restaurant Sphere can enjoy their meal in a stylish setting while simultaneously enjoying an impressive view of Berlin and the surrounding area. From 60 windows, they can experience a panoramic view that is unique at any time of the day and year. The main kitchen of the restaurant is located at the base of the tower for fire safety reasons. The dishes are transported to the restaurant by lift and finished in a small satellite kitchen.

A visit to the revolving restaurant Sphere is not only a culinary highlight but also an unforgettable experience that shows you Berlin from a completely new perspective. Whether for a romantic dinner, a meeting with friends, or a special family event – every moment in Sphere becomes an extraordinary event that you will not forget easily.
